China Evangelical Seminary invites applications for a faculty position in the Old Testament to begin August 1, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.

CES, called by God to uphold evangelical faith in the training of His servants for the Kingdom, is located in Tao-Yuang, (northern) Taiwan. Our main focus is to serve Chinese churches and Christians worldwide.

Applicants for this position should resonate deeply with CES’ mission (see https://wp.ces.org.tw/english/Our-Mission-and-Vision), and must be able to subscribe to our Theological Position (see CES-Declaration-of-Faith).

The successful candidate will have a relevant PhD or ThD and be able to demonstrate excellence in graduate teaching. They should be able to exhibit a breadth of competency in the field, with an ability to teach our foundational courses in the Old Testament (the Pentateuch, Historical Books, Poetic and Wisdom Books, and the Prophets, in addition to Biblical Hebrew courses) along with electives and advanced seminars in relevant subjects.
